Traditional Japanese Cooking with Mutsuko Johnson

Autumn is a time of abundance and deep nourishment. Vegetables and grains are gathered from the earth, full of energy from nutrients in the soil, the light of the sun, moon and stars, not to mention the hard work of all those who have grown, picked and transported them!

At harvest time we celebrate this rich energy and acknowledge the gifts we have been given by life. We bring joy to our kitchens, to our families, ourselves and all others we cook for with a creative spirit and open heart.

It is an excellent time to empower our health and wellbeing, capitalising on nutrient-rich autumn produce to boost our immune system before the winter draws closer.

In this three-part online series, Mutsuko will guide you in creating traditional Japanese dishes, balanced with whole grains, pulses, sea & land vegetables and fermented foods.

Prior experience of wholefoods or Macrobiotic cooking is not required, although this course may be an excellent opportunity for those with prior training who wish to develop their understanding of Japanese cooking.

Mutsuko brings a knowledge of traditional Japanese cuisine which is hard to find, and fills her kitchen and teaching with a playful, creative and generous enthusiasm for transmitting her knowledge.
