Who we are
Concord Institute is a registered charity offering education to the public to promote more self-reliance and responsibility in maintaining health.
What we do with information you have provided about yourself
We take your privacy seriously and comply with the General Data Protection Regulations. We will keep your personal information private and secure.
We store and process the personal information which we have requested you to provide to us as this is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the charity.
The personal information that you provide to us is used to enable us to contact you about your participation in our educational programmes, to process your payments for the programmes and special events you register for and for any products and services you buy from us so that we can keep financial and other records of these transactions for the administration of the charity and for tax purposes.
For some of our educational programmes and special events we may ask you to provide additional personal information about any health issues or dietary requirements which you might have so that we can check whether or not the programme or special event is appropriate for you and accommodate your needs wherever possible.
The contact details that you provide to us are also used to send emails to inform you about our newsletters, programmes, special events and products and to update you about the work of the charity. All such emails include a link to unsubscribe which will automatically remove you from our email list, however you can always re-subscribe at any time by asking us by email.
Who we share information about you with
Your contact details and payment card details are shared only with the secure online payment processing service to which we subscribe and which is fully compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and the General Data Protection Regulations.
Occasionally we may host a programme or special event led by another educational organisation compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations and should you register to participate in such a programme or special event then your contact details only will be shared with that organisation.
Information about your health and dietary requirements is not shared with any other organisation and is deleted after six months from the start of the programme for which you have registered.
We never share our emailing lists.
Your rights in relation to your personal data
The General Data Protection Regulations give you certain citizen’s rights in relation to your personal data and we will comply in accordance those regulations should you choose to exercise such rights.
