Navigating The Unknown – exploring new dimensions in consciousness
“And so I cross into another world…”
D.H. Lawrence
A weekend in-person workshop
We live within inherited maps of reality—ways of understanding ourselves and the world that have been shaped by culture, education, family, and personal history. While these frameworks help us navigate daily life, they also confine us within ego-based patterns that limit our capacity for transformation, creativity, and authentic living.
Over the past several decades, numerous people have reported having profound experiences participating in transformational programmes. Yet many of these openings prove temporary. The experience fades, old habits return, and what once seemed transformative becomes little more than a memory. While those experiences may align us to evolutionary forces for a while, sooner or later we lose that alignment and get reeled back into the same-old familiar business.
This workshop explores the possibility that genuine transformation requires more than perceptive experience alone. It must be embodied. That is, the energetics of the body must align with that new awareness. When new awareness is anchored within the mindbody complex, it can develop into a sustained unfolding rather than a fleeting experience. The embodied experience gives our transformation a stability and anchoring, as well as a North star for navigating the unknown.
Together we will investigate how our sense of self has been shaped by deeply conditioned assumptions, including the apparent separation between self and world, subject and object. Through inquiry, experiential practices, special movements, and dialogue, participants will examine the structures that organize both perception and experience and discover alternative orientations that open the door to a more integrated and aligned state of being.
By learning to navigate the unknown, we begin to cultivate a new orientation—one guided not by habit, fear, and social conditioning, but by a deeper intelligence that the shamans of ancient Mexico called “Intent”.
Join us as we resolve the relationship between two worlds: the familiar world of conditioned reality and the emerging possibility of an authentic and lasting transformation..
This workshop is open to both newcomers and people that have participated in programmes at Concord Institute.
